Life was meant to be lived, and curiosity must be kept alive. One must never, for whatever reason, turn his back on life.” Eleanor Roosevelt

I’m Stephanie Louise. Born in South Korea and now calling the Pacific Northwest home, I live with my amazing boyfriend, our dog, and two lovable cats. Postcards by Stephanie is my portfolio and digital diary—where I share my photography and reflections on travel, social justice, conservation, food, home decor, and everyday life.

My journey into digital storytelling started on social media and has grown into a blend of creativity and advocacy. I currently work in social services (since 2018) and am pursuing my MSW at the University of Washington. I’m especially passionate about amplifying unheard voices and raising awareness around social issues. Recently, I’ve been exploring photojournalism and videography, shaping both short- and long-term projects that combine storytelling with justice and representation.

Since I was young, I’ve wanted to help people and create meaningful work in the world. I’ve dreamed of traveling and documenting life’s raw, unfiltered moments—love, loss, resilience, and growth. Photography, for me, is more than art; it’s a tool for change and connection. I also hope to inspire young BIPOC girls to see themselves in this space and know their voices and visions belong here too.

In my free time, I love slowing down and enjoying life’s small moments—spending time with loved ones, trying new recipes, reading, listening to music, decorating our home, taking workout classes, and finding inspiration both in travel and at home.
